My Day, a Life with RA and a Beagle

I’m here to tell you about my day. I have rheumatoid arthritis; it is an autoimmune disease where the body attacks itself. With “RA” come the stiffness, pain, fever, and fatigue along with other symptoms. When I wake up in the morning, I get up slowly because my body doesn’t want to move. I’ve had this disease since 1992, so it’s no stranger to me. I’ve learned how to adjust with medications that help suppress my immune system, which helps my body to fight the RA. Today I really did not feel like getting out of bed. I have 2 beagles and a German shepherd. Today they wanted to sleep in too (for a change). I decided to get up and start the day, thinking of things I needed or wanted to do. I’ve always been a stay at home mom, and there are no benefits for us stay at home moms for the future. Well, my break is over, back to work.
