People hire big bands and dance bands for large weddings and parties. Small jazz combos can be found in clubs, restaurants and bars. Pit orchestras just make a great performance of a musical. Brass ensembles can be seen at graduations, small parties, weddings and other gatherings. Small and large ensembles perform at many outdoor functions such as markets, festivals and celebrations. Churches frequently enhance their worship with trumpet music. All in all, the trumpet is one of the better choices for anyone who wishes to keep their playing options open, and who wants a multitude of various opportunities for playing music. Multiple skills can be learned and utilized depending on the venue. Double and triple tonguing, jazz improvisation, upper register skills, music transposition, music interpretation, tone quality, tuning, articulation and general musical knowledge are all excellent skills to learn and broaden brainpower with use. Although all of the other instruments are important, trumpet appears to be one of the most rewarding for many different reasons.
