Says Who?!?! After a normal day at work, I headed out the door for an evening run. The run was uneventful, until I turned onto my block and noticed three little kittens playing in a neighbor’s yard. A sucker for animals, I stopped and called to them. To my surprise, the little black kitten came playfully bouncing through the tall grass towards me! It showed no fear and allowed me to gently pick it up. The kittens were obviously strays, thin and dirty. After checking to make sure that they were okay, I put the little black kitten down and attempted to cross the street to my house. Immediately, it came bouncing after me and jumped right into the street! We played this back and forth game until I finally gave up and carried the kitten to my yard while I pondered what to do with my new friend. After nearly half an hour of worrying over this kitten and what I should do with it, I finally decided to call Animal Control. I didn’t have long to wait, and they kindly took the kitten from me and inspected it. After a casual glance at its fur, the man informed me that I should be on the lookout for ringworm, as the kitten had some fur loss! They say good deeds do not go unrewarded, but can I really consider ringworm a reward?!?!
