Last weekend my husband and I took our boys, ages one and two, to the local race track. It had been a hot week, and an even hotter weekend. Temperatures were in the 90 degree range, and we were looking for a way to stay cool but get out of the house (we are so happy to have air conditioning). There had been rain in the latter part of the week, but it had looked like it was going to stay dry for the evening. The kids love racecars, so we piled ourselves in the minivan and off to the races we went! The rain earlier in the week had made the dirt track just perfect for racing. The boys sat so nicely like content little men through the whole night. There were only two races left to finish off the night and it began to rain. A light shower fell for only about three minutes, but they ended the race program. We were all disappointed that it ended early, but at least the rain had cooled us off a bit. We all slept great that night.
